In the last weekend of September the Dane John Gardens in Canterbury is transformed into bustling food festival. As you walk around the gardens you can feast on a variety of foods on display and browse on the range of products produced locally in Kent. There is something for everyone with straw bales to laze on to a kids zone where the kids are running wild having fun. There is continuous music playing and a great choice of bars.
I had the Desson’s buttermilk chicken burger which was DELICIOUS and at £5.50 was well worth it!
I also had the absolutely mouth-watering macaroons which were amazing! My friend had the churros which I happily tasted 😉 I also sipped happily on some lavender lemonade which was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours I spent in the Dane John Gardens browsing the Kent produce and eating and drinking the lovely food.
There is truly something for everyone no matter what background they are from all coming together and trying new things. This festival celebrates and supports local Kent businesses, it celebrates organic food and ethical values through food, produce, crafts and performing arts.
Did any of you guys get a chance to go?
Till next time
