Bridesmaid Proposal

So, I wanted to start this post with a little disclaimer, and an explanation. I realise that bridesmaid proposals started as a very American thing to do but both my sisters did it for their bridesmaids and it’s becoming such a popular thing now that I really wanted to celebrate my wonderful bridesmaids and gift them with some amazing little goodies. This is in NO way a bragging post or boasting but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these ladies. I realise that no amount of material possessions can ever show them that fully but who doesn’t love receiving gifts?!?

I remember how much I loved receiving my bridesmaid proposals from my sisters and just couldn’t wait to give mine out to my lovely girlies. OH WAIT!! I had to scroll through pages and pages of perfect Instagram posts and videos, with just about a million and one ideas on what to give and how. I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of choices and decisions. So I thought if this helps one person then job DONE!

I wanted to choose something individual to each of them but also have something similar (don’t ask me why, it’s a story for another time). These Katie Loxton bags were just PERFECT and when I saw them I knew straight away that’s what I wanted to get the girls. It did take me a while to choose which one for each girl though!

I also knew I wanted to get Thorntons personalised chocolates for each of them, but if I’m honest this is the purchase I regreted the most. I guess it depends on which Thorntons you visit, I wasn’t overly impressed by the writing on these ( as you can see from the pictures) but they did add a cute little touch. Who doesn’t love chocolate?

Sticking with the theme of chocolate… I found these beautiful chocolate bars on Etsy from Tailored chocolate and gifts (Side note- Etsy is just a place that you can get completely carried away by, it can be overwhelming so my advice would be to just search for what you know you want) But there are some BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL things on there. Yep, I did get sucked in and spent probably around 3 days just browsing at all the different choices. These just stood out to me because they were personalised ( sensing a theme anyone?) and they are SO SO pretty! They even have the date on the back, how cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!

Probably one of my favourite things that I added were these beautiful cards from Etsy specifically from FrazzleFlorrie. This is one of the Etsy shops were I could have easily spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds, I loved almost EVERYTHING!! I would highly recommend this shop and would definitely shop here again but just a side note, these products do come from America so they do take a while to arrive in the post.

The cherry on top of the cake were our stunning save the dates designed by Emily from Yatsar , I’ve linked her Instagram so head on over and check her out. She makes the most beautiful things, I wanted our save the dates to be colourful and bright and Emily captured that amazingly. She is fantastic to work with and I would definitely highly highly recommend her work.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I’m really loving writing again and can’t wait for 2018. I’ve got some really great content coming up and am so excited to be back!
