I’m back again with another gift guide to help you all with all your Christmas shopping and I would say that for me personally, this is the toughest category to buy for (apart from my brother in law who is pretty satisfied with a blu-ray DVD). So I’m here to try and give you a few ideas this year, as always by clicking these links it really does help me out, so thank you in advance.
I’ve tried to include a wide range of products here so that there will hopefully be something for all the men in your life. From your grandad to your brother, husband and even your uncle.
For a bit of continuity, let’s start with books (included in my last blog post, go over and have a look at that one) Obviously there is a lot of variation when it comes to this category but I’ll link a couple that would be a hit with most guys out there.
Will Smith’s autobiography has just been released and it went straight to #1 on the New York Times bestseller list as well as being ‘the best memoir’ that Oprah Winfrey has read. Who doesn’t trust THE Oprah Winfrey? This book looks like a pretty solid bet and its currently only £11 on Amazon:
Another book that was much talked about when it was released was the autobiography by Matthew McConnaughey titled ‘Greenlights’. My sister bought this one for her husband who really enjoyed it!
Christmas is everyone’s favourite time to crack open a bottle of their favourite alcohol, drink and be merry. So a very safe option is to buy a nice bottle of their favourite alcohol or even a festive alcohol set. These are usually available at most supermarkets or you can get something slightly more fancy like this festive cider set from John Lewis
This next gift is probably more for the people that are living with the man than it is for the man himself but I’m sure either way it’s much needed and will be much appreciated. It is a beard buddy that you can stick to the mirror and it will catch all the loose hairs that are cut off when shaving. I’ve bought this for my husband and it saves me hours of cleaning the sink after he shaves.
If those lovely gifts don’t sound like something that suits the man you are looking for, how about something a bit more personal? This personalised bracelet is a really nice idea. My sister bought this one from Etsy which has a lot of different options to choose from but I’ll link one of my favourites here:
For the more sporty guy, a simple tracksuit is always a good shout. but for something more specific, I found this putting strip to help a golf enthusiast practice on their game.
Christmas is always a good time to buy a loved one a nice new jacket for the colder months, M&S always have a great variety of styles that would suit most men. They also have a good range of scarfs, hats, gloves etc.
For everyone who knows someone who is into pop culture or who is a little nerdy, the next few gifts are for you. Firstly, for all the potterheads and Lord of the Rings fans, this year marks the 20th Anniversary for these hugely popular franchises. So any merch or memorabilia of this will probably be amazing including this collectors edition Middle-earth box set.
For anyone who has a netflix account, I’m sure you have heard of the viral show recently released called ‘Squid Game’. Know of any fans? If so, they are sure to love this funko pop figure for only £12.99
I really like this brand because if you know someone who is obsessed with ANY show (GOT, Harry Potter, the Walking dead) chances are they have a figure or even a key ring for you.
There is nothing better than being indoors, under a blanket with a nice hot cup of tea watching Christmas movies – Especially as the temperature continues to drop. Well nothing ruins the vibe like a lukewarm or dare I say it COLD cup of tea! (or hot chocolate if you are wanting to feel like a kid again). Here is a mug warmer to keep your tea from getting cold. I HATE it when I realise that I’ve accidentally left my tea for too long and now it’s ruined. If you guys have had this feeling before and know a fellow tea lover – this is the perfect gift. You can get this with FREE next day delivery for just £24.99. Perfect addition to an office desk, keeping those hot drinks hot while on zoom calls.
If you’ve got a bit more of a budget and are looking for something a bit pricier then fragrance is always a good shout. One that I have found coming up again and again is the Dior Suavage pefume. If you guys know of any crowd pleasing scents then let me know in the comments below.
Keeping the theme of a bit of a bigger budget air pods are all the rage at the moment. You can go for the real thing which is great OR there are a lot of cheaper alternatives that have really good reviews. I have bought them in the past for myself and they work really well and are SO much less hassle without the wires. These ones are currently on offer for £21.99 with FREE next day delivery (can you tell that I’m a sucker for free delivery?)
Another GREAT idea is an experience, in the past I have bought a friend of mine a virgin experience package. For this particular friend I bought a supercar driving experience through Virgin and my friend LOVED it! You simply buy the experience which they can then book at a track and on a day of their choice. Again, there are many different packages available so you just have to browse and choose the right one for the person who you are buying for.
Now for the staples that, if we didn’t buy, we would be surrounded by a lot of pantless, sockless men as they never seem to buy any for themselves, boxers or socks. For these, I like to keep it quite simple. Nike white socks and calvin klein boxers always deliver.
You can’t get any better than a good ole Christmas T-shirt for those days in between christmas and new years where no one really knows whats going and everyone is just in a christmas bubble. This one is from an online store that’s linked below.
If you have any other ideas please let me know in the comments below! Happy shopping!
