Trek Protein Bars

Since becoming gluten intolerant I have been looking for more snacks and treats to have during long shifts and because I spend a good majority of my time in my car I have been looking for quick but still nutritiously good treats.

These Trek bars do have a lot of protein in them (10 grams per bar) so I wouldn’t necessarily just eat these as a snack but they are perfect for sports nutrition. They are also 1 of your 5 a day.   Made with a delicious combination of fruits, gluten free oats and nuts to keep you going, these healthy snacks are ideal for refuelling after the gym, and they also make great breakfasts on the go. I often use these as a grab and go breakfast, they even keep me going during long shifts.

They come in four different flavours; Peanut Power, Banana Blast, and my favourites Cocoa Chaos and Berry Blast. Prices for these bars are £1.75 each so they are a reasonable price for an on the go breakfast. You can find them in places like Holland and Barrett and some supermarkets sell them as well.  You get quite a lot in these bars and feel full after eating one, not like many on the market  where you don’t feel full.

I highly recommend these Trek bars as either a post exercise snack or an on the go breakfast.

Till next time,

Lydia
