We are back guys!!! Thank you for bearing with me while the site went through some technical problems, but that’s all done now and we are back with a BANG!
Guess what time of year it is?!? YES! IT’S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAS!!! Around this time of year you get some people who think it’s too early for the whole Christmas hype and prefer to wait for December to get that festive feeling. On the other hand you have some people who are all about Christmas everything the second that Halloween finishes. Personally Christmas is my favourite time of year with autumn being my second favourite, I’ve always put this down to the fact that my birthday is in December and so I get extra excited for anything Christmassy. Just as an aside I do like my birthday to be a separate event though because any of you who have birthdays in December will know the whole ‘this is both your birthday and Christmas present’ classic line. I mean everyone else gets to have a birthday and gets to have Christmas as well it’s only fair. HEHE! Back to the point Lydia! Went on a little ramble there sorry!
When thinking about what to write for this post I really struggled, because I’ve got loads of fun Christmas ideas and really cool posts planned,(stay tuned) but I just really wanted to say this before I start with all that. So here goes.
When scrawling through social media I came across this picture, I’ve seen it before around the same sort of time of year and always paused and thought about the words and what they mean. This is exactly what I wanted to share with this post. I know that everyone will have different perceptions of these words and that’s alright and I’m not trying to force my opinion on anyone. All I can wish for is that before the craziness of the Christmas season starts we can all just pause and think about them and what they mean to us and our situation.
This picture makes me STOP and think about the Christmas season and how I want to spend it, how I want to divide my time and who I want to spend it with. I LOVE! don’t get me wrong LOVE a good product and I also LOVE buying people presents and just general Christmas fun! I want to focus on the real reason we celebrate Christmas! Helping the needy, sharing the love, donating unwanted clothes or presents, doing a good deed a day in the lead up to christmas, there are so many ideas that im sure we could all come up with but you guys get where im coming from with this. Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus and he embodied all of those qualities. When has there been a more relevant time then today with all the conflicts going on around the world, to show compassion, love and peace. You don’t need to be a Christian to believe in peace and love and what better time to start than CHRISTMAS!
I really CAN NOT wait for this season to fully start and to take you guys along with me on this journey and show you some really cool products and share some thoughts with you. Hope you are all wrapping up warm and getting excited about this truly magical season.
Till next time,
